Inside the plant

From aggregate stockpile to a mixer leaving the gate, this is what happens to your concrete.

Inside the plant
7QC checkpoints

Seven stages, every batch

  1. Material intake — cement, aggregate, sand and admixture received, tested for grading and moisture, and stored separately.
  2. Mix design selection — the design mix for your grade and element is loaded into the plant computer.
  3. Weigh batching — each ingredient weighed automatically, with moisture correction applied to the aggregate.
  4. Mixing — the batch is mixed to a uniform, homogeneous concrete before discharge.
  5. Slump & sampling — slump verified and cube samples taken where required.
  6. Dispatch — the load leaves with a challan showing the grade and the actual batched weights.
  7. Site discharge — slump re-checked at site before discharge; if it fails, the load returns.

The paperwork you should always ask for

With every Kapsha load you get a challan carrying the grade, the batch time and the actual weights of cement, aggregate, sand, water and admixture. Where cube sampling is done, the 7-day and 28-day compressive strength results follow. Keep them — for a consultant signing off a frame, or a buyer years later, those reports are the only evidence that the concrete in the structure is the concrete you bought.
